WORKSHOP

Tangible Interactions is part of a series of workshops I’ve run at the University of the Arts London in my role as a creative technologist within the Creative Technology Lab over the past year.

While other beginner sessions focus on technical aspects of electronics, this workshop takes a hands-on approach to enhance students' confidence with Arduino and introduces them to important interaction and robotics principles. Tangible Interactions is open to all university students, ranging from BA to MA programs.

During this session students have the opportunity to further delve into the realm of physical computing, utilizing sensors and motors, while also practicing coding skills with 'if statements.'

Aware that coding can often seem daunting, my objective as a technician is to engage students from diverse creative backgrounds through a learn-by-making approach. I aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment to practice new skills and encourage experimentation.

Combining paper making with electronics, this workshop invites students to create their own kinetic flower, blending creativity with technology.
